Very high energy show on a wonderful night at Bethel. Sat at the base of the lawn dead center and enjoyed the contract between the stage / lights versus a brooding and dynamic sky that unleashed light doses of rain on three occasions as well as a beautiful sunset and glimpses of clear sky.

Set one it felt like the band was determined to jam every tune. 19 minute type 2 Gin in the three spot after a splintering conclusion to a longish 46 days? Micro-jam on Fikus, a huge bustout? 4 minute coda jam on Human Nature? Yes to all of the above. Axilla was the only exception, and the molten start led to a good but not great sigma oasis to close the set. Some uncharacteristic confusion at the start of Theme, but they shrugged it off.

Set 2 is the epitome of all killer, no filler. Bag - Fuego - Golden Age were all top notch, and although the Simple got ripcorded, the Life Saving Gun - Hood combo to close out was phenomenal. Solid full band playing, some forays into dark and minor tunes, some call and repeat showing the lingering effects of Billy Strings' time with the band, but mostly high octane improvisational phish. The only breather was the quieter parts of Hood, which are still a long way away from any sort of Ballad. The second set felt like a perfect conclusion to an above average 3 night Bethel run.

Encore was meh but Santos sends you out with a smile. Thanks Phish, I had a blast!
