Textbook opening. Great. Solid. "Boy" at 5:24.
WUDMTF segment is good.
Mike is giving _The Signals_ in the tramps segment..
(while Page just jams away, with Fish keeping the groove
in the background).
BIG CUT TO SIDE B ON MY TAPE. I probably lost a good
twenty seconds in here. Trey is wailing when it cuts in
on side B.. he wasn't at the end of side A. oh well...
such is the CUT..
This jam segment is typically good, with nothing unusual.
Trey is jamming well, but not exceptionally (there's
almost a Dave's Energy Guide lick/tease in here.. from
Trey). Yuck.. some of Trey's jamming here is not so good,
actually. Hmmmm. At one point, Trey touches on the end
of Mike's Song just before the closing of the tramps jam.
Oh, there we go.. Trey starts trilling wildly to close
this version out.. niiiice. ;-)
Bass and drums at 12:39 by my watch, but this is likely 13
or so given the cut.. and then shiiiiiit, there's a fade
out and nothing at 12:49 (on my copy). And then the bass
and drums section cuts back in, with no Page or Trey, so I
likely didn't miss much. Some big HUUUHs from Trey.. and
then WUDMTF closing segment begins at 14 minutes..
There's another DAMN cut into the vocal jam. What a
mess. Vocal jam is The Usual Insanity (with a "God Save
Me Jesus" squeak from someone..). Total time is around 18
mins, I'd imagine. Brain comes next, and is a FANTASTIC
version.. with Fish screwing up "the lyrics." (First REBA
at this show, I think.. first *live* Reba... I think.. on
can never tell with these olde tapes..) (C rating for the YEM)
