Thanks Dan!
SET ONE
Kill Devil Falls (9:25)
Tight - Rager -
The Moma Dance (7:26)
Standard as they come, very little funk or jam really.
Sample in a Jar (6:22)
Trey a bit off key in spots, nothing too bad. Standard.
Stash (13:05)
Again, Trey a bit off key in spots, nothing terrible. Standard.
Dog Faced Boy (3:49)
Funny banter after Stash. Dude was yelling like crazy for Tela.
Like every other Dog Faced Boy you have heard.
Gumbo (5:21)
More banter. Very short.
Tube (6:16)
Standard.
Lengthwise (1:51)
Big bustout. But if you have heard one you have heard them all.
The Divided Sky (14:48)
Easily the highlight of the set. Nicely played with some definite peaks.
When The Cactus Are In Bloom (3:17)
Good placement for a new bluegrass number.
Bold as Love (6:01)
Nice! Again, great placement and very well played. Last one since 10/6/00.
SET TWO
Backwards Down the Number Line (9:50)
Awesome trills from Trey around 7:10. Really nice, little jam and back
into the lyrics. Drifts briefly into spaciness then segues into...
Ghost (15:18)
Around the 11 minute mark this one takes off. Trey starts drilling it at
12:30 and out comes the hose for just under one minute til 13:20 when they
start to settle the jam back down. 15:18 segues into FEFY. Page didn't
seem to be completely on board or ready but totally no big deal.
Fast Enough for You (8:10)
Nice. Nothing awe inspiring, just pretty well played. Long gap in between
this and Halley's. Dude is yelling like crazy for Tela again.
Halley's Comet (6:13)
Short. Well played and well planned segue into Maze >
Maze (11:28)
Trey blows the part before "The overhead view is of me in a Maze" Page
takes a decent 3 minute solo. Trey comes in kind of off key through alot
of his solo and not sounding very confident.
Alaska (9:50)
Amusing lyrically and Trey destroys it!!!
Theme from the Bottom (8:26)
No peak or crescendo at all where you would expect it. Big meh.
Golgi Apparatus (4:41)
Pretty much what you would expect.
Possum (10:01)
Standard.
ENCORE
Loving Cup (7:47)
Nice way to end the show. Raged it good.
* first When The Cactus Is In Bloom (Bill Monroe)
* first Alaska
My highlights would be Divided Sky, Ghost and Alaska and the humorous
banter.
