Really liked the show tonight. Although I found the crowd a
little too pushy. did anyone find Roseland more crowded than usual?
Also: Anyone notice Popper sitting in VIP? He left during Reba,
on his way to a Master Jam at the Ritz. Anyone have info on Popper's
condition? He was still in a wheelchair.
I am bummed out about one thing. I had to leave after Squirming
Coil to take a friend to her night shift - I noticed the big beach balls
on stage - but I guessed I missed the big ball jam - Can anyone tell me
what went on after Coil? Did I miss a lot? I'll stay the whole show
tonight.
                Thanks,
                        Dan.

HOWDY--

Not like I ever say howdy. Tonights HIGHlight: PUNCH YOU IN THE
EYE with a dance lesson by Trey in the middle of the Landlady jam.

Last night, Mike's Song> TMWSIY > Aveenu Malkenu> Weekapaug Groove.
Killer.

Alright, later I'm going to bed. It's 3:00 AM.

                                                        Jason Pinsky

"WEIGH RULES"

OH YEAH I ALMOST FORGOT, THIS SHOULD STIR SOME THINGS UP:
DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THE BACKROUND NOISE ON THE SECOND
LENGTHWISE?
IT STARTS WITH A CAR HORN AND THEN A GROUP OF PEOPLE OR SOMETHING. I
THOUGHT IT WAS A BACKWARDE MESSAGE SO I RECORDED IT ON A TAPE AND CUT IT
SO IT COULD BE PLAYED BACKWARDS (THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME DOING THAT, SO I
COULD HAVE MESSED UP BUT I THINK NOT) BUT TO NOTHING WAS CLEAR. CHECK IT
OUT.

ALSO-
        IN ITS ICE:
NOTICE THE CATCHY BASS TUNE: SOUNDS A LOT LIKE THE
THEME SONG TO THE BENNY HILL SHOW, COOOOOOOOOOOL!!!
REMEMBER THE BALD GUY ON BENNY HILL, HA HA HA. THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST
SHOW.

                                                NOW IM REALLY GOING.

Ok, pholks, just got back from the big city, unable to secure tickets for
tonight(sat) well, I am truly sorry, but I didn't copy down the set list,
but here were MY highlights. John Popper was at the side of the Roseland
in the elevated, backstage pass section, and didn't end up playing, he had
a show at the ritz later that night and left at the end of the first set.
I spen the end of david bowie looking down the tunnel towards backstage
hoping he'd come out but no luck. David Bowie was tight but not
spectacular in my opinion. Before S Squirming Coil Page said "this is a
song for sophie" (his girlfriend) or maybe ex? At the end, he went OFF,
his Piano solo, and I mean solo (Trey, Mike and Fish all sat there smiling
at each other in semi awe) It was spectacular, and extremely passionate.
Made me think he was very upset, or very much in love. The Horse on
Acoustic and Silent in The Morning were really impressive, with no sound
problems. The YEM as usual was a mind blower, and again trey sang the
"newsletter lyrics" I think it confused a lot of first timers etc, i heard
a lotof "what are they saying?" during it. They did I didn't know, and
Punch You in the Eye, both first for me, and trey tried to teach us the
"landlady dance" a latin hipswaying thing. The tweezer and Reprise were
one of the better ones I have heard, and the encore blew mw away. They
discussed what to sing a cappella, and you could here trey say, ah screw
it, let's do it again. They then told the crowd, "For those of you who
have seen the last couple of shows, we know you've heard this song a
couple of times, but we love it and are going to sing it anyway." They did
Amazing grace, and It was really impressive, stronger than the other a
cappella stuff I have heard them do. They went on to play Lovin Cup and It
was amazing, page's new piano was great during the entire show, but
especially during his Squirming solo, and this song. I missed hearing
horn, but they played a cool sparkle, and an ordinary It's Ice. Ok, that
is all I can remember, sorry for no set list (I'm sure someone else will
post it) and sorry for the band width,
                                      Josh (psyched for poughkeepsie)
