This show is a lot of fun! (THANKS BILL B.!) The first set includes a decent
version of SOAM and a strong Divided. There's also the very first Vibration
of Life which occurs in the Bowie opening hi-hat intro segment. Trey lectures
the audience on venue sound in and around this VoL. Second set features Mimi
Fishman joining Fish on stage for the Lengthwise.

My copy of this is a little bit sped up (the quality is bad, but you knew that
already, Bill.. thank you, anyway :-).

Mike's song is pretty uneventful. The tramps jam segment is typically dark
and erie, as usual for the period. The post-tramps segment is simply a
continuation of the tramps jam (and starts around 4:52 or so). Hydrogen
starts up at 6:41.

Weekapaug begins at 9:44. Mike takes a strong opening solo for the usual
thirty seconds. After only a few measures of what is pretty straightforward
'paug jamming, the jam slows way down, quieting down softly. Page gently
plays a few notes on the piano... and the jam takes on a reggae feel (similar
to Makisupa). Trey comes in chording. This reggae jam lasts for a few
measures, and then the band falls into a "Big Ball Jam." Around 14:30 the big
ball jam ends and they launch back into Weekapaug. Trey's soloing is
fantastic in these final few minutes. My version cuts right after they start
singing the closing lyrics (16:23). Probably another minute or so left in
this version.

Very unusual Weekapaug given the reggae jam and Big Ball jam during the 'paug.

two cents,
