MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 154

Good afternoon, contestants. We have an unidentified audio clip labeled "MJM CLIV" that requires your attention. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to be the first person to identify the song and date of this mystery clip. If you succeed, you will win one MP3 download courtesy of LivePhish.com / Nugs.net. Each contestant will be allotted one guess per day, with the second “day” starting after the hint is posted on Tuesday if necessary, with the answer to follow on Wednesday. Also to assist you is the All-Time MJM Results document linked by the image below. If you are caught at your place of employment or educational facility by a superior, the blog will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

This blog will self-destruct in five seconds.

Answer: For the first time in seven weeks we have a first-time winner, as @garcia17 completed the mission in identifying the 8/8/93 David Bowie. Awesome show (of skill), great job!

I skimmed through every YEM with Mission Impossible teases that I could find on the tease chart, also OJ show Mike's Song (as guessed above), and 8/15/98 Bowie. No luck locating this segment...sill, there's got to be a MI connection...or has there?

That's a really good guess because this show is missing from PhishTracks, but I listened and don't hear it anywhere. Definitely a handicap, but "impossible"? I dunno. Wish I had more time to figure this out. Back to work.

I don't know if there is a MI tease, but the write up is Mission Impossible themed. But what is that little thing Page plays in the beginning? and again as it's fading out? Also I feel like they're sort of teasing another song in the middle of the clip.

Definitely 93 or 94. Due to the wild improv they reached in those days, this could be a Bowie, Antelope, Mike's, Tweezer, or Bouncin (ok maybe not).

If I'd had time to search, I'd have been looking in '93 and '94 SBD recordings on PhishTracks for songs of abnormal length in shows in which a Mission Impossible tease was played. I'm sure that only leaves a dozen or so options, and if you cross-reference that with the guesses above, you'll likely have your answer.

When I first listened I thought 95 but its either 93 or 94 but I think it's from 94. Something about Trey's tone and the subtleness of the JAM makes me think 94. But what the fuck do I know...I haven't win since 2011.

I listened to Jennifer Dances once about 10 years ago. It did nothing for me -- I wasn't filled with hate and rage, but I thought it was really cheesy and was glad that it wasn't in the rotation. Ha, Rabeldy coming out of the cave! Of course it took an August 93 jam. This show features the only BBFCFM opener ever. I typed in 8/8/93 and mission impossible into Google and I got something about the Last Action Hero soundtrack. Too many a time has Arnie been victimized by the terrible script.
